Sex therapy can be a costly business and many clients mitigate the expense by attending on a fortnightly basis, rather than a weekly basis. But even with the resources, it’s sometimes quite hard to find a good therapist who isn’t fully booked!

 

Depending on your personal circumstances, you may wish to avail of the low cost sex therapy service I have created and this service is online. Sessions cost €50 for either individual or couples sex and relationship therapy.

 

How does it work?

 

The low cost sex therapy is delivered by students who only begin their placements once they have reached an advanced stage in their training and development, where they are deemed competent to safely offer sex and relationship therapy, for a range of sex and relationship related issues.

 

The therapists I have carefully chosen for online placements, have already been in private practice as fully-qualified psychotherapists for many years and come from a range of different masters level, COSRT accredited, sex and relationship therapy training courses in the UK (the NAOS Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapy, the Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapies from The Institute for Relational and Sexual Therapies, the MSc in Contemporary Psychosexual Relationship Therapy form the University of Doncaster).

These therapists are more recently trained, so what they lack in experience, they make up for in capacity and contemporary knowledge. All students are appropriately insured to work with online clients worldwide. They remain closely supported by their supervisors in this phase, until they complete the client facing hours required for their specialisation. My role is Clinical Director, in charge of helping students with the development of their new private practice.

What can I expect?

Once a client has expressed a desire to avail of low cost therapy, I will begin matching them up with one of my students on placement and organise a referral. Your therapist will then get in touch directly to organise timings and you will start to see them online on a weekly or fortnightly basis. All of the work done is based on talking therapy, whilst any homework given is done in the privacy of your own home. Clients are held in a safe pair of hands until their therapy is completed.
